60 Millions for Canals in Santa Margarita
A group of house and berth owners informs: The Generalitat de Catalunya has announced a preliminary plan to rebuild the canals and the canal entrance of Santa Margarita. The cost is estimated at 60 millions Euros. A large portion of the costs will be allocated to the owners of houses and berths along the canals. The requested participation of controlling the administration by the owners is not intendet.. This above under the knowledge that the future of the canals of Santa Margarita is still undecided (spanish Ley de Costas or Ley de Puertas of Catalonia or neither of them).
We hereby strongly suggest that all owners object against this plan. The plan can be looked at the Internet under www.gencat.cat/ptop/ (novetats al web) or at Direccio General de Ports, Aeroports i Costes, Servei de Ports, Ronda Litoral Mar, 36-40, Barcelona. It is generally suggested to engage a lawyer to object against the plan. Dateline for objecting is 16. June 2009. The objection should be addressed to: Generalitat de Catalunya/ Departament de Politica Territorial i Obres Publiques, Av. de Josep Tarredellas, 2-6, 08029 Barcelona ( registered mail). The “Asociacion de vecinos de Santa Margarita” will generate a form wich can be downloaded (www.stamargarita.net) to be used for the objections, available in the early days of June. We plan an information meeting at the Bar “La Rioja”, Av. Nautilus, Nr. 8, Santa Margarita on the 6. June 2009 at 11:00h.
